Poem titled "Cardinal" by Helena Roberts. A big red sparrow soars over the page. A blue car drives on the bottom edge, towards a camera, a plate, and TV, and a photograph. Poem reads: "Grandpa’s an artist He's got the bird inside him Winged and restless Too spirited for old hands Painted wings built the house And detailed hands laid the stone And when the red bird flies The soul may linger We flock like ravens And hang our given treasures On the walls and tables A small gallery of feathered dreams And a life of loves migration The guests are a murmuration And it's clear the bird has left the body’s delicate cradle And since you can't fly We’ll carry you Now rest your wing Under cool stone And we’ll wait for you"
